29 Dec. 2001:    2493     1) Added grandparents of Honor Treat (Mrs. John Deming).  2) Added information about the marriage of Sarah Braley (daughter of Roger Brailey and Alice) and Josiah Haskell in 1729 and his first marriage.  Information discovered in Mayflower Increasings, 2nd Edition, 1995, by Susan E. Roser.  3) Added maiden name of Mary Ann Swendsen, mother of Tina Maria Eskow (Mrs. Randall J. Braley) and partial information on her parents.  4) Added portions of three generations of probable Norwegian ancestors of Fingar Ellingsen.  Fingar Ellingsen is an ancestor of Kristi Helgesdatter, mother of Henry G. Emmons (Helge Gundersen).  I belive that Elling Pedersen is father of Fingar Ellingsen, because, he is the right age, in the right place, his name fits the patronymic naming convention and Elling Pedersen's father, Peder Fingarsen, was the son of Fingar (unknown).
21 Dec. 2001:    2477     Added portions of seven generations of Norwegian ancestors of Asle Narvesen, back to the 1380's and the farm, Eikje (in Sigdal, Buskerud, Norway), that had been in his family since the 14th Century. Asle Narvesen is the 7th great-grandfather of Evelyn (Emmons) Braley (Mrs. Harry J. Braley).  All of these Norwegian ancestors are thanks to the generosity of John W. Peterson who has been extremely helpful by sharing his reseach with me.
20 Dec. 2001:    2436     1) Added portions of three more generations of Norwegian ancestors of Esther (Robinson) Emmons (Mrs. George H. Emmons), as found by Alyce Clair (Smith) Rasmusson (Mrs. Richard Emmons Rasmusson).  2) Added the spouses of four children of Isaac Hosman and Mary (Young) Hosman.
17 Dec. 2001:    2425     Added two siblings of Caroline (Heinley) Deming, first wife of George W. Deming. These are children of Peter and Katherine Heinley, born in Pennsylvania, found in the 1860 Census of Wilton Twp., Muscatine Co., Iowa and the 1840 census of Bethlehem Twp., Northampton Co., PA.
15 Dec. 2001:    2423     1) Added the partial family of Klemet Torgersen and Ingeborg Gundersdatter, she was a sister of Henry G. Emmons (Helge Gundersen).  2) Added three children of Richard Emmons Rasmussen and Alyce Claire (Smith) Rasmussen.
13 Dec. 2001:    2414     Corrected and added two generations of ancestors of Anton Ensign Rasmussen, husband of Clara Nateva Emmons.  They were parents of Richard Emmons Rasmussen, who married Alyce Claire Smith, and she was responsible for doing the research for much of the ancestry of Emmons and Robinson families in Norway.  (Anton Ensign Rasmussen was not the son of Hogan Rasmussen and Christi Nelson, as shown in the Emmons booklet. [See 16 Apr. 2001 Update.]  Instead, he is the son of of Christian Peter Rasmussen and Anna Marie Jacobsen, as per Alyce Rasmussen's research.)
9 Dec. 2001:    2410     1) Added parents, step mother and half siblings of Darius Pingrey, husband of Emily Cornelia Deming, who was a sister of George W. Deming. This family was found in the 1860 census of Wilton Twp., Muscatine Co., Iowa.  2) Added a portion of the family of William A. Hosman, probable son of Charles Wesley Hosman and Maria Rachel Sloane, and 1st cousin of Rachel (Hosman) Jackson.
16 Nov. 2001:    2401     Added the family of Guy Ross Benight and Harriet (May) Benight, parents of Samuel M. Benight who is a brother-in-law of Dell Ann Jackson, having married her sister, Mary E. Jackson, in Black Hawk Co., Iowa in 1860.
15 Nov. 2001:    2390     Updated facts about the family of William Jackson and Rachel (Hosman) Jackson per findings in the 1870 Federal Census of Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., Iowa.
13 Nov. 2001:    2389     1) Added children found in several censuses to the families of John Colton Hitchcock & Irena (Clark) Hitchcock, Clark Hitchcock & Laurette (Burnell) Hitchcock, and Charles R. Cole, husband of Harriet Safronica Hitchcock, and father of Laura Minerva Cole (Mrs. George W. Deming)  2) Added several ancestral relatives who are descendants of Jared Beecher Hitchcock, brother of Harriet Safronica Hitchcock.
30 Oct. 2001:    2350     Added one additional generation of maternal (Sutton) ancestors and several ancestral relatives of Hannah Booth, first wife of Roger Braley born 1698. (NOTE: His first wife was mistakenly identified as Hannah Tisdale in Braley Genealogy, see The American Genealogist, July 1999, Vol. 74, No. 3.)

Horseman, brother of Rachel (Hosman) Jackson, also found in Waterloo Twp. in the 1860 census.

21 July 2001:    1966     1) Revised notes for Lemuel Braley concerning the deed found for his purchase of land in the New Hampshire Grants. 2) Added Godfrey Augustus Speck as the second husband of Rachel (Pickering) Hosman and his first wife Sarah Townsend and their son Augustus Speck.
5 July 2001:    1961     Revised parentage of Matthew Wing to be a unknown probable brother of Godfredus Wingius. While some researchers show Matthew as a son of Godfredus Wingius, professional genealogists in England have reached the conclusion that he did not have any surviving children.
30 June 2001:    1946     Repaired errors in file caused by merging individuals from another family ancestry file. Primarily affected the ancestry of the two Deborah Wings, who were second cousins and wives of the Roger Braley born 6 April 1724.
27 May 2001:    1941     1) Added portions of eight generations of ancestors of Silas Rice (3rd great-grandfather of Alson E. Braley), including the fact that he is a descendant of Elizabeth Deming and her father, John Deming, who are also ancestors of Hazel (Deming) Braley (Mrs. Alson E. Braley, my mother).  2) Addition of the children of John Braley, the siblings of Joseph Braley, and most of their spouses.
15 May 2001:    1786     1) Added the children of William Jackson and Rachel (Hosman) Jackson, who are the siblings of Dell Anna Jackson (Mrs. Alson Henry Braley), as found in the 1850 Census of Kenton, Hardin Co., OH.  2) Added spouse and one child of Loren S. Deming and his wife Lois (Hofer) Deming, the parents of Lorna Marcele Deming and her marriage to Burdette Berens, Jan. 25, 1948 in Iowa City, Johnson Co., Iowa.
16 Apr. 2001:    1766     Added several ancestral relatives, and spouses, of Evelyn Emmons (Mrs. Harry Jackson Braley) from the Emmons family of Emmons, Freeborn Co., Minnesota.  Additions are largely due to obtaining a privately printed book, Descendants of Helge & Kjirsti Aamen (Henry & Christi Emmons), who were Evelyn's grandparents.
8 Apr. 2001:    1693     Added several Robinson Family members and spouses, and other changes in connection with the move of the Charles Robinson Family from Mazon, Grundy Co., IL to vicinity of West Liberty, Muscatine Co., Iowa.
26 Mar. 2001:    1660     Added the ten children, and some of their spouses, of Julius Sawtell Holden and Nancy B. Moore including confirmation of Ruth Rebecca Holden (Mrs. Aziba Flanders) as their daughter, b. April 22, 1813.
10 Mar. 2001:    1636     1) Added portions of two generations of ancestors of Elizabeth Gilbert, b. 1654, 2nd wife of Sgt. Jonathan Deming.  2) Changed the preferred name of the three Stephen/Steven Holdens (born between 1658 - 1720) to Stephen, to agree with most sources.
5 Mar. 2001:    1620     1) Added the children of Sawtell Holden and Hannah Cook including their son Julius Sawtell Holden, b. 1783.  2) Added Nancy B. spouse of Julius Sawtell Holden and their children.  They are the probable parents of Ruth Rebecca Holden, wife of Aziba Flanders.
2 Mar. 2001:    1568     1) Added portions of six generations of ancestors of Steven Holden, b. 1687.  2) Added six siblings of Betsey Conick and six siblings of William Conick, her father, and revised his dates of birth and death to agree with my interpretation of sources.
23 Feb. 2001:    1540     Added many children, and several of their spouses, of Don Alonzo Robinson, George Robinson and Arthur Luke Robinson, who had been previously lumped together.
20 Feb. 2001:    1518     Added ten children, and several of their spouses, of Isaac Hosman, uncle of Rachel Hosman in connection with attempt to find ancestry of Rachel Hosman's husband, William Jackson.
14 Feb. 2001:    1499     1) Removed all alternative facts, to prevent non-preferred facts from overriding preferred facts in the GED to HTML conversion. This changed dates of birth, death, marriages, etc. displayed on HTML pages for a few individuals, but not the facts contained in the GEDCOM file.  2) Various miscellaneous corrections of errors caused by merging of non-duplicate individuals into file.
